Basics of Stores and Stock Control The importance of the storekeeping function is often overlooked. This seems incomprehensible when you consider the value of stock this function is responsible for. This course is targeted at all stores personnel, including the store man and all first-line supervisors. Other major users of the stores function also gain specific benefit from attending this course. The aim is to introduce candidates to the concepts of stock control and to develop stores control personnel who are able to accept responsibility through the understanding of the requirements of their function. Target Group Basic literacy in English, and a basic understanding of numeracy. Course content includes: Warehousing and Supply Chain Management Roles, Responsibilities, and Relationships Risk and Safety Management Warehouse Safety and PPE Inbound Logistics Classifying and Coding Stock Warehouse Layout and Productivity Materials Handling and Storage Equipment Stock Keeping and Inventory Audits Warehouse Issues and Returns Outbound Logistics Transportation and Reverse Logistics Emergency Situations and Precautions   The course Attending the Basics of Stores and stock control course includes the following: 13 Instructor led Training sessions, 3 hours each Study Material File Final Examination, 3 hours
